On July 1, Sulpician Fathers Dominic Ciriaco and Chris Arockiaraj celebrated their start-of-tenure as Acting Rector and Vice-Rector, respectively, with a grape juice toast with the staff (below, left). Since then, they have been prayerfully and diligently planning for the most enriching and healthy formation program possible for incoming seminarians.

To this end, Fr. Ciriaco recently met with the Archbishop of Washington, D.C., His Excellency Wilton Gregory (above). The Archbishop and Fr. Ciriaco spoke about the challenges, joys, and expectations for the seminary year ahead. Archbishop Gregory praised TC for its work in seminary formation and continued to pledge his support to TC, while TC will faithfully uphold and augment the Archbishop’s fruitful ministry with ADW.

During this time, other meetings have included that of Fr. Chris (below) with Fr. Anthony Lickteig, ADW’s Vicar for Clergy and Assistant Secretary for Ministerial Leadership (left) and Fr. Daniel Carson (center), Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia — and alumnus of the TC Class of 2012 — to discuss the guidelines for pastoral formation during this COVID-19 era.

In consultation with the leaders mentioned above and those of other seminaries, and in accordance with guidelines set forth by the CDC and The Catholic University of America, all students should carefully review TC’s return protocols found here.
